President's Letter 
As our new membership
year begins, our social calendar is full. In just three weeks our Open
House will occur on October 25th and a week later we have the Meatheads
Film Festival on November 1st. This is kicking off the season in
style. Bob Fowler and Ken Conrad have done a terrific job of pulling
these events together.
If you can't wait
the three weeks and want to get an even earlier jump, how about a weekend
dude ranch experience in the Upstate NY / Lake
George area? Karl Skwiot has put a fantastic weekend
together at the Ridin-HY Dude Ranch Oct 19, 20,
21. There is still time to jump in the saddle for this trip.
Soon the resorts
will be firing up the snow guns in preparation for the Thanksgiving
weekend. Before you know it, we will be on the slopes again.
The Meriden Ski
Club web site is up-to-date, even race clinics are scheduled. Time
to get your dues in and get ready to enjoy another event filled year with
the Meriden Ski Club.
